Houston, July 14, 2009 --- In its July 10 issue, the Houston Business Journal's "Face to Face" column featured an interview with Bruce Blausen, Founder and CEO of Houston-based Blausen Medical Communications. In the interview Blausen was asked about the Company's current areas of promise, as well as some historical perspective of how it became the developer and owner of the world's largest library of proprietary medical animations, and where that technology may lead in the future.
Regarding the near term, Blausen focused on the market potential and unmatched creative presentation quality of the recently introduced Blausen Human Atlas iPhone app. The smartphone application puts 150 3D animations of common medical conditions and treatments, in the palm of a user's hand. Commenting on this new platform for patient education, Blausen said, "It makes for powerful communication and understanding. I think of this app as a requisite tool for caregivers."
Looking to the future, Blausen went on to say that there would be additional Blausen Human Atlas apps for other smartphone platforms like Blackberry and others, before the end of the year. With the planned launch of 15 smaller specialty atlases for specific body systems, plus making everything available in a total of 12 different languages, Blausen Medical Communications will be having a very busy future.
